This procurement involves repair & reconstruction of 320-foot-long breakwater using 35-ton Core-Loc concrete armor units. The proposed project will entail work in the ocean environment. Construction of breakwater requires specialized experience & expertise in the placement of armor stones/concrete armor units & working in a highly vulnerable ocean/sea conditions. The estimated cost of the proposed project is between $10 million & $25 million. Solicitation to be issued O/A August 19, 2003. This is an Unrestricted procurement. | ||||||||

The US Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract to do maintenance dredging at the Pearl Harbor West & Middle Lochs by clamshell. The dredging areas shall be dredged to provide depths varying between 27 feet & 31 feet MLLW with one foot of allowable over-depth at each respective depth. Work areas include dock frontages & inactive vessel anchorages. The project involves dredging approximately 350,000 cubic yards of material. The magnitude of construction is expected to be between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. | ||||||||

Project involves construction of a water well production facility Control Bldg. 21 x 30 feet x 16 high, constructed of concrete masonry walls & concrete roof & a rectangular shaped Control Tank 16 x 22 feet x 22 high, 20,00 gallons, constructed of concrete; & a 6-foot high chain link fence surrounding the well production facility, access road & underground pipeline for pumping & transmission of water from the existing Board of Water Supply Well III (DLNR Well #1942-01) to BWS distribution system. The Control Bldg. will have two separate rooms: one for the electrical controls for the well pump, & the other for a sodium hypochlorite (liquid chlorine) disinfection system. The well water will be pumped into the Control Tank & subsequently flow out of that tank to the connection point with the existing BWS 20-inch xmission pipeline at Nonokio Street. The pump size is 0.5 mgd (million gallons per day), operating at 24 hours per day. BWS Waimanalo Well III replaces BWS Waimanalo I which has been taken out of service due to contamination by alachlor, an agricultural chemical. Electrical & telephone lines will be connected to the facility. | ||||||||
